To ensure your visit at the Palace of Parliament remains safe and enjoyable please take note of the following instructions:

  • All visitors to the Palace of Parliament will undergo a security check upon arrival and all belongings will be inspected. Note that personal defence equipment is not permitted and possession of weapons, explosives or other dangerous or forbidden devices or objects could result in criminal charges.
  • Access to the building is only permitted upon presentation of an original, valid national identity card or passport. Driver license or any other form of identification is not accepted.
  • The valid national identity card or passport will be held at the security checkpoint for the duration of your visit. You will be presented with a visitors pass which must be clearly visible on your person at all times.
  • Visitor’s pass must be clearly visible on your person at all times.
  • Deliberately leaving the designated route of the guided tour is prohibited and considered to be: “entrance into the headquarters of a central public authority, violating the legal access norms…” which is sanctioned under the 2nd article, section 15 of law 61/1991.
  • You are not permitted to leave your personal belongings or luggage unattended at any time or in the care of other persons.
  • This exclusion applies regardless of duration in both public and restricted areas of the building. For reasons of public safety and security we reserve the right to remove unattended property and/or to destroy it without warning.
  • Smoking is forbidden inside the building.
  • Alcohol consumption is forbidden as well as refreshments that may damage goods inside the building. You are allowed to bring liquids in plastic bottles (e.g. water).
  • Do not touch or damage any of the works of art, furnishings or curtains within the building.
  • In consideration of other visitors a moderate tone of voice should be used and cell phones should have all sound switched off.
  • The use of lifts is not permitted! Do not use the lifts unaccompanied!
  • Do not litter!
  • You should wear appropriate clothing for visiting the Palace of Parliament.
  • Do not enter the building with banners, placards, flags or any similar items.
  • Do not display any offensive or racist symbols!
  • Demonstrations inside the Palace of Parliament are strictly forbidden!
  • Do not sit on the stairs or any of the furniture during the tour!
  • Please be quiet and mindful of your surroundings during the tour so as not to disturb parliamentary sessions or conferences in progress.
  • We reserve the right to refuse visitors who do not behave appropriately.
  • Due to the limited number of available tours we reserve the right to refuse a booking or the sale of tickets.
