For visits to take place in optimal and safe conditions, it is necessary to observe the following rules:
- Access is granted 15 minutes before the start of the tour, only with a valid identity document (ID card, passport, in physical format). Driver's licenses or other forms of identification are not accepted (according to the Rules regarding the conditions for processing personal data of people accessing the Palace of Parliament building, published in the Official Gazette of Romania, Part I, no. 456/31.V.2018).
- It is forbidden to enter the Palace of Parliament with liquids.
- Access and control procedures are carried out according to the instructions of authorized personnel. Security checks are mandatory for both people and luggage.
- Prohibited items: white weapons, firearms/ammunition; paralyzing or tear-inducing devices, flammable/toxic/explosive substances, etc.
- It is forbidden to leave the group or deviate from the visiting route. This constitutes an offense, according to the provisions of art. 2, item 13 of Law no. 61/1991, republished, regarding unauthorized access to public authority headquarters.
- For security reasons, please do not leave your luggage unattended! If unattended luggage is detected, it will be considered suspicious and may be destroyed for security reasons.
- Tours are subject to availability. We reserve the right to refuse scheduling or selling tickets.
- We reserve the right to refuse access to visitors with inappropriate behavior.
- Alcohol consumption and smoking are prohibited inside the Palace of Parliament.
- It is forbidden to touch or damage property.
- Access to elevators is prohibited.
- Keeping the premises clean is mandatory.
- Decent attire is mandatory.
- Access with flags or other protest objects is prohibited.
- Displaying dictatorial or racist symbols is prohibited.
- Demonstrations are prohibited within the Palace of Parliament.
- Sitting on the floor or remaining on the stairs is prohibited.
- Please keep quiet to avoid disturbing meetings or ongoing events.
Rules regarding the conditions for processing personal data of people entering the Palace of Parliament building (published in the Official Gazette of Romania, Part I, no. 456/31.V.2018):
Access to the Palace of Parliament is only through the designated entrances, equipped with control systems and in compliance to the Regulation on order and security in the Palace of Parliament.
Visitors’ access to the Palace of Parliament is only allowed with access documents.
The issuance of access documents (entry permit, badges) is based on a valid identity document (identity card, or passport, in physical format) of the person requesting access, by the security inspectors of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chamber of Deputies, only after recording the identification data of the person in question in their own records.
During the access document issuance process, the following personal data is processed: name and surname, identity document series and number, citizenship, and the photograph from the identity document.
All visitors inside the Palace of Parliament must visibly wear the access documents (permit, badge) that certify their right of access to the building.
At the end of the visit, the access documents must be handed over to the security inspectors who issued them.
